Desikaart Fresh Mangoes: Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Desikaart, we bring the 20+ authentic taste of premium Indian mangoes—including our exquisite Alphonso, Kesar, Himayat and Banginapally varieties—straight from our partner farms in India to your doorstep in Europe. To ensure maximum freshness and peak quality, all our mangoes are harvested at the optimal time, safely packaged in ventilated export cartons, and flown to Europe via express air freight.
Once they pass local customs and biosecurity clearances, they are immediately dispatched via reliable internal European express couriers.
Please review our specialized fresh produce shipping terms below:
1. Sourcing, Pre-Orders & Seasonal Batches
Air Freight Model: Fresh mango shipments depend entirely on the Indian harvesting season (typically late March to July) . We operate on a weekly flight rotation to ensure the fruit spends minimal time in transit.
Pre-Orders: During peak season, orders operate on a pre-order basis. Your batch is secured as soon as the flight schedule from India is confirmed. If a specific flight is delayed due to weather or airline constraints, your order will be automatically rolled into the next immediate air shipment to guarantee you receive fresh, un-spoiled fruit.
2. Shipping Destinations & Delivery Timelines
To preserve the cold chain and limit transit time, we only use Express/Next-Day delivery networks across continental Europe once the batch arrives at our European fulfillment center.

3.  Address Accuracy & Unattended Deliveries
Signature Requirements: Fresh mangoes cannot tolerate sitting in hot delivery vans or outdoor parcel drop-boxes. You will receive a tracking link via email/SMS as soon as the courier picks up your box.
Customer Responsibility: It is the buyer's strict responsibility to ensure someone is present to receive the box on the scheduled delivery day. Desikaart is not liable for spoiled or over-ripened fruit resulting from a missed first delivery attempt, incorrect address routing inputs, or packages left unattended in direct sunlight.
5. Quality Guarantee & Claims Policy
Indian mangoes are a natural, delicate agricultural product. Every single mango undergoes hot water/vapor heat treatments for EU phytosanitary compliance and is individually inspected and foam-netted before packing. However, minor skin blemishes or superficial marks due to air pressure changes can occur naturally and do not impact the incredible inner flesh.
Reporting Window: In the rare event that your mangoes arrive severely bruised, damaged, or spoiled internally due to courier transit delays, you must notify Desikaart Customer Support within 24 hours of delivery.
Claim Requirements: Please email us with your order number and clear, high-resolution photographs of both the damaged fruit and the shipping label on the box. Eligible claims will be compensated via a pro-rata refund or store credit.
6. Ripening Guidelines Upon Arrival:
Our air-freighted mangoes are packed right as they begin to turn, meaning they frequently arrive green or semi-firm to ensure structural integrity during the flight.
Do not refrigerate them immediately. Leave them in a warm area at room temperature inside their boxes and remove the foam net to complete the ripening process until the skin yields slightly to pressure and gives off an intense tropical fragrance.
You may add Ripe Banna, Onion, Tomato to speedup the ripening process.
Once mango is ripen you can refrigerate for longer shelf life.
